Holden Beach is a true island, surrounded by water on all sides. It is nestled between the Lockwood Folly Inlet on the east and Shallotte River on the west. The Intracoastal Waterway is on the north and the Atlantic on the south. Holden Beach's shores extend for eight miles, making it an impressively sized shoreline in the South Brunswick Islands.
